Roanoke College Phi Mu

Roanoke College, nestled in the small town of Salem, Virginia, is a liberal arts college with a few thousand students. The sorority system is also small, with four different sororities to serve the student body. Roanoke College's Phi Mu, recently restructured, needed a chapter website to stick to the guidelines that their National organization had set and to allow prospective and current sisters a place to visit and learn about the sorority.

Phi Mu, Gamma Eta Chapter, requested a small website from Wellfire during the summer of 2007. The site needed to be up quickly, as the chapter needed it publicly available in time to fully prepare for Spring Rush. Though communication was a challenge during the first months as the members were getting settled back into their studies, Wellfire produced a website that brought together the girls, the personality of the sorority, and a welcoming atmosphere. The site runs on a version of WordPress Blog Engine, which acts as a simple content management system. Wellfire also set up Google Services for the sorority, which gives them access to a personalized Gmail account and use of the Gcal calendar system.
